About Candice 

The Hon. Candice Bergen is the Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada and the Official Opposition. 

Candice Bergen began her political career as a Conservative organizer in Manitoba before deciding to seek election. She proudly serves the people of Portage-Lisgar as their Member of Parliament, and has been re-elected five times. 

Candice served Canadians in a number of crucial roles, including Parliamentary Secretary for the Minister of Public Safety and Minister of State for Social Development where she worked to improve Canada’s efforts to fight homelessness and ensure more support to those living with disabilities.

She also served as the Opposition House Leader and as Deputy Leader of the Conservative Party.

Candice was born and raised in Morden, Manitoba. She is married to her husband, Michael, and the proud mother of Luke, Delaney and Parker.
