Whitehorse, Yukon – Jonas J. Smith, the Yukon’s Conservative Party of Canada candidate, has announced that Whitehorse businesswoman Linda Benoit will again serve as his Campaign Manager for the widely-anticipated upcoming federal election.
“I am thrilled to have Linda at the helm of my campaign once again,” says Smith. “Her superior skills, depth of experience and strong and steady demeanour will ensure the campaign reflects, and responds to, the needs and expectations of Yukoners across the territory.”
Benoit, raised in Faro, is a dedicated and long-standing volunteer and in 2021, received the Conservative Party’s Doug Finley Award for Outstanding Campaign Management on Smith’s 2019 campaign.
Additionally, amidst ongoing preparations and continuing media speculation surrounding an imminent federal election call, a campaign office has been established on Main Street in downtown Whitehorse and will open to the public when the election is officially called. Location details and office hours will be announced at that time.
In the interim, Smith is reaching out to Yukoners through a variety of avenues, including virtually. He will host a Zoom town hall on Saturday, August 7 at 10:00 a.m. (Pacific) to hear directly from Yukoners about their successes, challenges and priorities.
